I am looking at Bizau or possibly at Dornbirn now. Need to go before the onslaught starts of Feb 15 but if the present cold is persisting I might wait till the end of the month.
Thanks again for your help.
Fulpmes Info?

Hi,

Went there once on a day trip from Innsbruck. Fulpmes is at the beginning of the Stubai Valley, the ski area above the village is referred to as Schlick 2000. Slopes are facing North and snow sure late into the season. Skiing is easy going and family friendly, quite a contrast with the heavy-duty activities on the glacier at the end of the valley.

Where to go for easy skiing a couple of days. Have never been there before and need some basics. Would Bregenz make a good base and day trip from there, I am driving. Would appreciate any advice from people who have been there.
Thank you.

Nobody has mentionned the Montafon Valley, Schruns-Tschagguns are in the centre and you get there by train. Easy skiing for various levels and the sites are connected except Gargellen.

Don't worry other people read on here and the info may suit them.

You don't need to go to expensive St Anton, the Montafon Valley is quite nice and has excellent skiing, the train goes right into the centre of Schruns. The après scene is very low key .
