One of my favored areas in Tirol is Innsbruck. Where will you take base in the city or Neustift im Stubaital ?
The glacier at the end of the Stubai Valley will have plenty of snow and all types of terrain from flat and wide to steep / demanding.
Schlick 2000 above Fulpmes is facing North its a smaller area but very local , lots of happenings there and snow sure.
Axamer Lizum and the Olympia run is a must.

Skiing late April?

Hi,

I would suggest Stubai Valley above Innsbruck, Austria skiing at the Stubai Glacier. This is a fairly large ski domain wide and easy pistes. Neustift is the main village. Fly into Innsbruck and bus to the Stubai valley, the alternative is Zurich or Munich and catch the train to Innsbruck right at the airport.

Go to http://www.stubai.at/en/winter/skibus, Click on -Winter- then select -skibus- 35 minutes

Proper cold here too we had -7°C this morning in the Mosel Valley thinking of going skiing at Erbeskopf in the Hunsrück 20 minutes up the road from my house. Expecting fresh snow tomorrow and persistent cold down to -9 next week-end.
Life is good, who wants to drive hours to get to the Alps.
(OK, only 1 piste, 2 km but nice après-bar)

Snow conditions permitting have a look at the nearby Montafon Valley, must admit I only go in January.

The Paznauntal, Galtür isn't too far away either, been there once early April and weather conditions were deep winter at the time couldn't ski and spent all my time/money at Ischgl's nightlife.
This is all I can help you with, suggest you book with the hotel directly

Just want to add:
Flumserberg will be chock-bloc full on week-ends so go VERY early to beat the queues !
same goes for all the resorts really when half of Switzerland heads to the mountains in good weather.

Happy skiing.
