Leogang....attached to Saalbach. Not a problem at the moment, but March can be hit and miss as its low altitude.Ade73 wrote:Hi all, we are off to leogang on 14th march for 5 nights. Thanks tony h. Yes it is attached to salbach-hunterglem. Also have zell am see, kaprun aberg and probably most importantly the kitzteinhorn glacier so I suppose if it's a bit dodgy at least we have got that. With the depth of snow that they have had this season wouldn't that make a difference?

I'd have thought you'd be fine. However personally I wouldn't book in March for somewhere as low as that. I've resisted booking Saalbach in January as a result of a mates recent experiences where they've struggled to ski there even in January.
But this years snow is amazing in Austria, best in 60 years, so I'm sure you'll be fine.
Enjoy.

Thanks again tony. Just from experience as I've been to ski circus (salbach etc) 5 times in January and have been waist deep off piste every time. Snow has been great every time
I hope we will b fine. Maria alm was on shut down last week as they'd had 4 ft in the village. My friend said the tractors etc couldn't get up the street to clear outside his appartment. ;) thanks again for your informed help. Have a good rest of season.
