Yes,for sure Ischgl is a party town, but not for youngsters. Its much more pleasurable than ,say,Mayrhofen.Basically,it's a middle class beautiful resort. There are no "nasty" ,ugly buildings, plenty of pleasant restaurants and good bars and clubs. The Apre ski is second to none.Better than St.Anton and not soo crowded.France has NOWHERE like it,and I skied there for 10 years .including all the usual suspects like ValD,Courcheval,Meribel etc.Its a snow-sure resort.Never had a problem in 9 years, excepting the 2 red runs down to the village.Only one thing I would say against the ski-ing and that is the ( relative) lack of black runs. Its also not noted as a beginners resort,in other words,an intermediates paradise.I could recommend hotels if that is how you holiday.
Look up their website www.ischgl.com.Enjoy the experience, its beautifully maintained as well.Piste bashing at its best.
Cheers
David :)
