Enjoy switzerland Ian.A nice resort to boot :-)
The ski-ing in the high resorts of France is outstanding, but for a more "rounded" ski-ing experience,Austria cant be beat ( in my opinion) .I spent 10 years with my ski buddies trying all the French resorts until,by chance on a ski trip to St.Anton ,we found out about the nirvana :) And I dont mean the "big" Austrian resorts except SA. ( But keep it to yourself, dont want too many Brits to know )

Hear hear for Austria - all of it :D

getting back to the question, my husband is about the same wieght height and he tried 3 sets this year. He loved some Blizzard skis and was given apair of the new style that 'split' at the tips when you turn - he hated those. He cruises reds most of the time
mum works too hard to pay for the ski trips!

Again you might have read in previous posting that I have in thirty years of skiing never developed the British love affair with Austria I did have a bad experience with some locals on a summer holiday to Austria but thats another story. But I can't really speak from experience but I guess the Brits have already found SA.

Never been to St Anton - if it is that full of brits I never will  Seriously, most of the resorts in Austria I have been to I love. We are aussies and have met some lovely brits who have become good friends we see once or twice a year. Did love N though :D

I'm at a loss how am I going to be reeducated to the wonders of Austria when you keep the resort a secret, I have been to Stuben in the summer many moons ago, maybe St Christoph
