The ski area of Les Contamines is in the French Alps at an altitude of 1,164m 3,819ft , with 120km 75 miles of marked runs.

Les Contamines is part of the Ski Pass Mont Blanc area with access to 507 marked pistes, served by a total of 248 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Les Contamines itself ( 120km 75 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Ski Pass Mont Blanc ski resorts of Argentière, Chamonix, Combloux, Cordon, Le Tour, Les Houches, Megève, Passy Plaine Joux and St Gervais Mont-Blanc.

With ski lifts as high as 2,500m 8,202ft , snow cover is generally reliable.

Skiing

The ski area of Les Contamines spans the Montjoie Valley, reaching elevations of up to 2,500 meters. Key lifts include the Telecabine de la Gorge and the Télésiège du Lay, providing access to notable pistes like the long red run 'Les Dômes' and the challenging 'La Cote.'

Les Contamines offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate and Beginner skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Les Contamines is Geneva, 57 minutes drive away.

Annecy, Chambery, Sion, Grenoble, Lyon St-Exupéry, Lyon Bron, Turin Caselle, Berne and Dole–Jura airports are all within three hours drive.

Annecy and Geneva are just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Les Contamines is easily accessible via major airports such as Geneva and Lyon. From there, you can reach the resort by car or shuttle service, making it convenient for international travelers.

The 24 ski lifts are able to uplift 33,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, on 10km 6 miles of ski runs, with 200 snow cannons.

When is Les Contamines open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is mid December, and usual closing is Mid April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

Aprés Ski

After a day on the slopes, visitors can enjoy the lively après-ski scene. Notable spots include the 'Le Bar des Sports' for drinks and 'La Table de l'Ours' for dining, offering a cozy atmosphere to unwind.
