Rußbach is part of the extensive Dachstein West ski area, boasting over 140 kilometers of slopes suitable for all skill levels. With a charming village atmosphere, it provides a perfect base for adventure-seekers and relaxation.

The ski area of Rußbach is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 820m 2,690ft , with 65km 40 miles of marked runs.

Rußbach is part of the Dachstein West ski area with access to 97 marked pistes, served by a total of 81 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Rußbach itself ( 65km 40 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Dachstein West ski resorts of Abtenau, Annaberg im Lammertal, Gosau, Katrin - Bad Ischl, Krippenstein and Obertraun/Dachstein.

The skiing is at relatively low altitude, so snow cover can be variable.

The longest possible descent in Rußbach is 4km 2 miles long and the most difficult run is the 'Kanonenrohr'.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Rußbach is Salzburg, 50 minutes drive away.

Vienna, Brno, Bratislava, Ljubljana and Munich airports are all within three hours drive.

Salzburg and Vienna are just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Rußbach is easily accessible from Salzburg Airport, approximately an hour away by car. Alternatively, take the scenic train route to the nearby town of Golling and continue by bus to the resort.
