Abtenau

Abtenau's small local ski area on the low lying Karkogel is supplemented by the Dachstein West Ski Area, ten minutes away. The Karkogel does have two blacks and there's some off piste and a ski jump to enjoy!

The Austrian ski resort of Abtenau is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 1,480m4,856ft, with 80km50 miles of marked runs.

Abtenau is part of the Dachstein West ski area with access to 245km152 miles of downhill skiing, with 97 marked pistes, served by a total of 61 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Abtenau itself (80km50 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Dachstein West ski resorts of Annaberg, Gosau, Katrin - Bad Ischl, Krippenstein, Obertraun/Dachstein and Rußbach.

The skiing is at relatively low altitude, so snow cover can be variable.
