The region of Hochkönig comprises the ski slopes of Dienten am Hochkönig, Maria Alm and Mühlbach am Hochkönig.


Hochkönig is within the Amadé Ski Area, which boasts 760km472 miles of downhill pistes, with 375 marked ski runs, served by 270 ski lifts.

The ski area includes 3 Ski Resorts with a combined total of 350km217 miles of downhill skiing, with 83 marked pistes, served by a total of 85 ski lifts. The appropriate Lift Pass allows you to ski or snowboard in any of the ski areas of Dienten am Hochkönig, Maria Alm and Mühlbach am Hochkönig.


Hochkönig offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate skiers.


Hochkönig offers some good boarding and there are a variety of Snow and Terrain Parks in Dienten am Hochkönig and Maria Alm.

 By Air

The nearest airport to Hochkönig is Salzburg, 60 minutes drive away.

Linz, Munich, Innsbruck Airport, Klagenfurt, Ljubljana, Graz, Trieste and Bolzano airports are all within three hours drive.

Salzburg is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
