Thinking of going to Siestriere in late march for a weeks skiing any idea about the cost of a pint, hiring ski equipment, passes, and will there be sufficent snow at that altitude :?:

Late March might be hit and miss in that area, I'd suggest go earlier or consider an alternative place at that time of year. To say the snow record is erratic is an understatement!
As for drinks etc, I have only stayed in Sauze and expect to pay 4,5 euros for a pint.

Out of curiosity - does the snow hold out until March in Livigno?

For ski hire go to Maison Clataud. They have great kit and experienced english speaking staff. They are also excellent at sorting out boot problems!

when i've been in Italy, its around 4-5 Euros for a pint. Generally pretty reasonably priced for eating out etc. If you are going later on in the season - i would recommend Cervinia (and Zermatt - which is covered by the same area lift pass)
