The main problem is that it's not possible carve turns on them. In order to carve turns effectively the skiers centre of mass must be outside of the area covered by the skis.

Damn, I was going to buy one.

That being the case, It sounds perfect for testing canting on boots and bindings.

Something to consider would be the ramp (forward angle) of the bindings you choose. Ramp is how much higher the heel is, compared to the toe. This can affect your fore/aft balance considerably. If you were set up by a boot fitter for your previous skis, what was the ramp on those bindings.

Boot warmers....which brand?

I have Thermic warmers, and they work well. They do need to be cut in to footbeds by a boot fitter, unless you are happy with cheap inner soles that come with them. They are expensive, and the additional work to install them may not be worth it for limited use.

Boot Gloves are fantastic. They really help.

Just to check... that you are putting the charcoal warmers over, and just behind your toes, not underneath. Most people have enough room at the base of the toes (above the foot) for toe warmers (not hand warmers). I have used hand warmer between boot gloves, and the boots. It works well and last about two to three hours.

So I got to ski for five days last week. Mt Hood. Not a ski destination really, but if you need off season training, or are already in Oregon....

I like this photo. Three stooges on the left especially. You would think they could have made some fake PDAs or IPads for them to hold. The little nut job is probably saying something like, "I told you slopes at 23 degrees, not 19. Change it"

They'll kidnap some ski instructors from Japan for the ski school.

and want to know where all those straight skis went from the charity stores..... Un will set up a fake ski factory, and pretend to be making them.

Kim Jong Un models Burtons 2014 Dictator line of snowboard clothing. The Baggy pants aren't new, but the military style jacket is expected to be the Terrain Park style next season.

In this photo Kim Jong Un is explaining how five thousand political prisoners can do the work of one piste basher. Corduroy? he scowls, have prisoners dragged up the hill on their finger tips.
