than a forum. ( Lord of the Rings )
Actually that's OK. On most forums, the thread's long gone by the time you think about replying. It also allows for the latest techniques and equipment to be incorperated into a thread as these things are invented. Trencher |

What purpose does waving poles around like that serve ? Trencher |
More to the point - who needs them ?

I'm sure you are not disappointed

Fischer Race SC 170. Great free carving ski, able to handle speed. 14M radius for shreding the groom. Medium flex for all conditions.
For all mountain, look at the Atomic Metrons. Less stable at high speeds, but carving machines able to handle powder as well Trencher |
This last season ( about 60 days on the hill ) I have been hit three times (a lot more near misses) from behind while carving on an alpine board and skis. Every time by a skier.
As for general inconsiderate behavior, it's just a fact that there are more young people on the slopes (on skis and boards). I went to Deer Valley for the first time this year. What made it different, was not that there are no snowboards, but the average age was much older. With twin tips becoming the "in" thing, expect to see much the same thing from kids on skis Trencher |
As golfski said. However, if you are carving hard your legs will come together in the turn, though your skis will stay apart. Look at photos between and around gates from the Olympics to see how this works.
