The trains appear to all be off. Is Wengen still accessible via the cable car to Grindelwald?

I'd second the route via Luxembourg and Nancy - it comes up on Google if you go to options next to get directions and tick avoid tolls. It about 3 gallons of fuel extra but has no tolls. I always use this route to Switzerland and that part of France. Depends if everyone wants to chip in with the cost of the tolls.
Also, I can tell you where to fill up with cheap fuel in Belgium and Luxembourg. Ask if you want to know - let me know whether diesel or petrol. |

Suitability of Petit St Bernard Pass for Caravan - Late Sept Trip to Tigne for Skiing

It reopens 25 September, but I have found out that the pass is closed to caravans, so I would have to go around via Mont Cenis, Albertville and Moutier! Probably a bit of a long journey for one or two days skiing!

Doing a round trip September to Italy via Bavaria and Dolomites to Lake Garda and possibly return via Tignes to have a ski. Anyone know if it is possible to take a caravan over the Petit St Bernard pass, last week in September? From Italy into France, and then maybe back again.
Outfit is long single axle pulled by Disco 3 TDV6, so power no problem, just widths and bends really. Rather not do much mileage on a mainly single track pass. Cheers |

Could anyone give me an update on the amount of ski and conditions at Jungfrau at the moment - was planning to take the caravan there for Monday but am now wondering if it is worth it?
