Hi,

We are hoping to make it to Jungfrau region this March.
Bearing in mind current weather which of the 2 aforementioned resorts would you recommend for the base?

Many thanks for your advice )

Tony,

Definitely a good choice :), however my other half is a timid intermediate
so I've heard that Zermatt is not ideal :?:

Thanks anyway )

Have you decided yet where you are going to go ?

No, not yet.

But Jungfrau is at the top of my list of skiing places to visit. Wengen being in the middle of it would have been my preferred base if only the snow conditions were better
Murren snow is better + best views in Alps :?:

We would love to go to Corvara, but could not get a chalet accomodation this March and
we are restricted by a set budget

Other places under consideration are: Cervinia (with compulsory visit over the ridge ) and Serre Chevalier (many tree line runs :-).
Any advice from sympathetic skiers who visited these places will be highly appreciated,

I prefer Grindelwald to Wengen, but Murren would be my preferred choice of the three. Plenty for the timid intermediate, but some much steeper stuff as well. Tends to hold the snow better, I think.
Cervinia is pretty snowsure because of its altitude and is easy-cruise heaven. Serre Che can be vulnerable later in the season but would be excellent if more snow falls soon!

Thank you Lota ),

Murren has been highly recommended to us before but I was not sure about easy runs.
Out of the 2: Murren & Cervinia which one would you recommend.
We do like splendid views, some tree line runs and some charm in the resort.

Oh, and some snow on pistes :-)

Went to Murren two years ago - not a great deal of tree line skiing but lovely views and loads of village charm.

Haven't been to Cervinia since 1980 so my views may be just a little out of date!!
