If anyone would like to see Littleski's epic route from Chamonix to St Moritz and back to Geneva, I've found a map of the Swiss rail system here
http://www.alleuroperail.com/eurorailway-maps/switzerland-map.htm
She and her husband will be crossing southern Switzerland west to east to get from Chamonix (and Courmayeur) to St Moritz, and then going back via the northern route and Zurich east to west to end up at Geneva, which is slightly north west of Chamonix (where they started!). Presumably the travel agent never looked at a map of Switzerland before booking their holiday
At least they will have a nice scenic circular tour of Switzerland from the train :D
I would quite like to ski in Switzerland, but I'm not sure if we can reach a good Swiss resort in one day by train, without travelling during the night, from London.

Thanks very much Bandit, that's great :D
It even tells me how much carbon our train journey produces! I will look into it for our next ski holiday, next year. I know when I get back from this one I will be feeling really depressed and I will need something ski positive to do to cheer me up.

To all,
Well done everyone. You are very good Samaritans in helping Little Ski.
I concur with all of the summations of the travel agent's efforts or lack
there of, in providing good service.
I sourced those agencies as well as directly to the Canadian resort i am
going to in March. ( Big White)
The price differences were amazing. The prices for airfares and then accommodation
at the same hotels varied greatly. I do not see the problem as described for the extra days
though, the agent is shifty or just lazy. Another customer burned that will not
endorse their firm to any friends.
A case in point, my ski hire for 10 days was quoted as $350.00 by the agent. I can get it there
for $225.00. I know times are tough, but that's a great big extra commission.
I hope Little Ski posts her trip and experiences when she returns. I will be curious for I plan to do
Europe next northern hemisphere winter.
Little Ski, listen to their sage advice on this forum site, plus they are very amusing just to read,
after all we are kindred snow lovers.
3 weeks and 2 days till my departure. Yay :D
