Just noticed that his child only has one ski on so maybe he tried to retrieve it and then got himself tangled. 7 minutes is a long time to dangle like that - the poor child must have been terrified.

It says he was uninjured. I beg to differ I bet is pride is not intact after being suspended naked in the freezing cold. :D

If it had happened to me I would not be sitting in Scotland but my newly renovated penthouse in SLC. I would file a claim against Vail Resorts and gets a sweet penny that i for sure.. (hey, they all do it in the U.S :twisted: )

LOL I heard about this a few hours after it happened. I hardly think this was the fault of a renegade lift. The restraint bar was the evil mastermind :lol: I guess the chair was tired of being sat upon, and all the things that happen when you sit on something of that nature :mrgreen:
I've seen some pretty weird stuff at my resort, but nothing like this. Maybe this is something that should be added in the lift operators handbook.
Lifts (of anysort) may seem pretty tame and innocent but :wink: when they plot vengeance :shock:

What is not so good, is that the photographer is reported to be now looking for another job. Despite taking the photo in his own time with his own camera, his employer, who contracts with the resort, has bowed to pressure over him "showing the resort in a bad light". :evil:
