You guys definately put a laugh in my day!!!

Story of before I bought my helmet 2 years ago - ski in, ski out chalet, put skis on, skiied away from the chalet and onto the run leading down to the lift, early morning, icy, ski not on properly, ski unclipped, edge caught on other ski, straigh over onto my back on hard ground - worse headache I have ever had.

Next day, some person skis straight into me and I had no way of avoiding them. Hit me square in the forehead.

New helmet next day!!!

Actually looks good, light as a feather and warm to boot.

Mine is light choc brown worn with cream jacket and light choc brown salo's - milk Oreo

OH bought one too - red and black with a wide chrome strip - I can see him anywwhere on the mountain when the sun hits it )

i am new to this but a have to say i have ben whirring a helmet sense i was 6 after knocking my self out on a snowboard night skiing with my dad and brother but thats not the main reason to where a helmet in my opinion. I will start this out with i know good things cost $$$ but good helmets they last a long time especially if your are a weekend skier. (like 8 years)
reasons
#1 warmth there is nothing warmer and more comfortable then a good goggle and helmet combination.
#2 safety not because your not skiing well because snowboarders can only see 1/2 the time. (i like snowboarders and snowboarding its just a fact IE backside turn)
#3 you will look like a pro (watch tv) every one who is a pro skier wheres a helmet. yes off the camera to because skiing is dangerous!

thats my thought any way if you dont want to where a helmet thats fine with me just dont bitch about it when you get knocked out-josh

Hi fella welcome to J2ski ...... It is not the so called benefits of wearing a helmet that causes so must discussions on this topic that should be left to individuals but it is the righteous helmet wearers who can't understand freedom of choice

Hello, first post!!

I have worn a helmet for the past few years basically because I wear one for mountaining biking and know the injuries that they "could" avoid. I do feel a bit of a plum sometimes wearing it, but with my googles on, no-one can see me. I do miss wearing a hat (although I do wear one depending on weather) but the best thing about my helmet is that it plugs into my ipod. Trance and the mountains.......
I love peas!!
