Well they better watch out come the 3rd of March
  Hit the nail right on its head there!
Tony, can i ask a question?
Do you have children? Would you put a lid on your kid?
The last two years i haven't worn a helmet but i insisted my daughter did. I asked myself why.
Basically i can't trust other people on the mountain not to hit her and if she was hurt i couldn't live with myself for not protecting her in what ever way possible.
So with that in mind i asked myself why i wasn't wearing one too.....would it be fair to her if i could have prevented an injury to myself......i now have a helmet.
Its each to their own.....no one should be made to wear them and no one should be ridiculed for choosing..
IMHO i look like a cock in one, and i don't really like it but i can't make my little one wear one without doing it myself.
The issue us non lid wearers want is to have the option not to ski with a potty on our heads
As Ian says, the issue is over choice.

I didnt want to get a helmet due to my love of a head band! I did however go with safety 1st and after going to Mayrhofen last year and getting clobbered at least twice a day in the mad scrum for the gondola by the mad pushers who dont know what the word que is, I was very glad if only for that reason that i did wear one. It wasnt actually that bad even if I do resemble a mushroom!

Is there a German word for queue? I wouldn't attempt to get on the bus between St Anton and Lech without a helmet!

The German word for queue is Schlange, which is also the German word for snake. That could explain why they are often a bit constricting. ;)

Those who want to buy and wear helmets, absolutely fine.
Those of us who choose not to, leave us along and stop making out we are criminals or insane.
When did it become dangerous to ski.....can someone put a precise date on it? No recreational helmets on ski slopes for many many years so why all of a sudden is it regarded by some as important?
That is all.

Yes. Both grown up, and neither ski in helmets. My daughter was forced to wear one on school trips and hates them as a result. My son like me has never worn one. When my kids were young and learning with me, there was never any discussion over helmets, it was not an issue. I fail to understand what has suddenly become so dangerous.Snapzzz wrote:Tony_H wrote:My small input:
