Thats one heck of a long mogul run in Felthorpe's photo - I can feel the burn in the quads just looking at it.

I know all the downsides of VT (no trees etc) but I've only ever lost about an hour's visibility in the 3 times I've been there

Meribal is more central to stay but Its such a spread out place that if you got thewrong accomodation you could be a long walk from the restaurants and bars I think?

Still would reccomend the 3V to anyone though - and I've never seen it busy......

I am not sure Andy, it is certainly in the right place. They seem to piste some runs some days and not others, it was a bit hit and miss if I remember rightly, as to whether you got a mogul field or not! I suppose that is because the place is so big they cannot do everything every day?

This was the view from the top of the moving carpet that takes you back into the centre, I have zoomed in. The bowl in front of the main resort is just so huge and most runs are very wide, it only gets a bit busy at the bottom at the end of the day when everyone is coming home, which is fair enough!

The bar (bottom left) seemed to be the place to be for a quick stop off on the way back.
I can see my house from here...

It is cascades then, spent a very enjoyable afternoon playing on there, using the last reserves of energy before heading off to catch the snow train. Just one more run...and another...

Agree, its not uncommon that nice sensible friendly folk are classed as being weird by those with negative attitudes -) :D
