I think that's a very sensible decision. There are several main roads here shut now because of the new snow and drifting of the old snow(even to tractors and 4X4's), and they are saying that anywhere here over 200 metres is likely to be hit by heavy snow and blizzards all night until tomorrow morning. Driving to Somerset at the moment doesn't seem to be a very good idea!

Ally, it's looking very much like I made the right decision. Lot's of reports of stranded motorists in the South West. IMO the schools made the wrong decision in not postponing the interviews.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked out of the window this morning to see a fresh blanket of snow. In SE London we didn't see that coming! Today I can enjoy it and don't need to worry about flights or interviews!
