My dad has a habit of calling me from wherever they may be around the world watching the sunset with a glass of wine in his hand. They never call me when they're in the country.

Much as I enjoy taking my teenage daughters skiing I won't have the tiniest element of guilt going away without them when they are older - which should be in March!

I'm afraid I have been a very annoying parent to my poor teenage daughter this week. Unluckily for her, she ended up in the same lessons as me in the morning, although she's a much better skier than me ('isn't there a group higher than this one?' she complained). Consequently she spent her mornings picking up the detritus I kept leaving all over the slope - skis, sticks, me etc., and explaining that yet again her mother had fallen over :D
I am very grateful to her for her help. I always find it a bit difficult when I move up a level and I become the worst/slowest/one who falls over the most in the group.
It does remind me a bit of when she was 9 months old and starting to walk and it was me picking her up then every time she 'crashed' :D
