You can certainly camp at Mayrhofen, although I'm not so sure as to the frequency of any free transport up the valley to Tux.

I think you can camp at the base, but you'd better check on-line to be certain.

Have you ski-d on the glacier before??

Yeah, I was up there by myself for three days in May. Gotta be an early bird for any decent stuff but that suits me, travel alone for a long weekend, ride in the morning and go hiking in the afternoon. They had 12cm of snow last night.

Credit Crunch is on, but yeah Sod it, i've booked my first skiing trip to april 2009, and I can't wait to go.

Maybe when we get there things are a bit better.
