Flying into Innsbruck for the first time in 2 weeks, can't say you guys have increased my enthusiasm about the flight, best not inform the wife or the rest of my party. Lets hope its a clear, calm day.

3 options here:

1. It will be a fantastic day, you will look out the window and see people skiing at the same height as you are flying, with a smooth landing.

2. You'll be bouncing about a bit, probably not able to see much, and be relieved when you hit the runway at last.

3. You'll be in Munich

Will be there at the same time as you!

Fancy meeting up for some skiing?

You can rent the lockers underneath the hotel Austria for ski gear or from the magareiter ski shop, depends where you are hiring from. If you have your own stuff your hotel may have a heated boot room?
See you on the piste!!!

We stayed in Niederau for 2 years running in the mid-90's, we stayed at the Pension Diane, which was run by a mad British lady and her Austrian husband (he had a plaque behind the bar which read 'My wife drives a broomstick!) and it was a hilarious place. One year a group from a golf club had mostly taken over the place and took us 4 in, so we joined in all their mad nights and quizzes, in fact the Ski Rep came to see why none of us were joining in their Apres Ski, but we were too busy falling about laughing 'at home!' It also was the one place that did a full English breakfast, which was fab for a day on the slopes. We enjoyed the skiing and played around on the easy stuff all day. We also went to Auffach (on the packed ski bus) and got stuck at the top in a white out, so only did a few runs there, before we had to come back down on the gondola (yes it was that bad!!) I enjoyed it but then it does not take much to amuse me! (O I also remember a character there we nicknamed Mr Nuclear Man in his yellow all in one, he used to go up every day and hang his lunchbox on a tree, and his ski suit was SO bright, the area around him glowed!!) That's Niederau for ya!
Rather a bad day on the slopes than a good day in the office!

February 2010 on a flight destined for Innsbruck - pilot couldn't see the runway so after 3 attempts turned for Salzburg. Following Sat flew out of Innsbuck successfully but within 5 mins fire alarms on board - emergency landing in Munich - with all that entails!!!
