Child’s Survival Is Message from God To Wear Ski Helmets

This type of story is somewhat more common than stories about people surviving falls because they were not wearing a helmet. I really don't think that is going to change, so there will never be the balance that some people are looking for. As Admin said, get used it.

Trencher has a good point. Bad news stories always get more press than good news stories.

You don't often see the headline "500 people went skiing today and all survived without injury, hooray!" :D

Not very sensational is it.

Wearing a helmet protects your head, no doubt about it. You cant argue that, if people (adults) dont want to wear one , then fare enough. If your head hits a tree or a hard surface you are going to get hurt....end of. Whats more important in your body, your leg, your arm or your brain ?? eh??

My point, choose to accept it or not is that the most talked about topic on this forum is about helmets. I wear one. I refuse to push my opinions to others.

My reference to winding us all up is that there must be at least 5 threads relating to this very subject and they ALWAYS go round and round in circles. If peeps read the others (some of them over 60 pages) they will read all the opinions. There is no need to start a new thread evertime. But thats the whole point Dave. I AM interested in reading about them, and what one eyed views many helmet wearers appear to have.

I can also tell from the way you post that you wear a helmet. I had hoped you might be a little more impartial or subjective.

Anyway as Daved said, its a forum and people are entitled to post, unless of course its unsavoury or offensive.

I read WITH INTEREST threads where helmets are discussed, as its always good to have balanced posts on any website forum.

Can we have some stasts about the hundreds of thousands, nay millions, of people who ski each season, and then give us a % of those who suffer head injuries? That WOULD be interesting.
