How about this one for an accident

Jenno, there is nothing wrong in being opinionated but to think a helmet will protect you against a crash like we have seen above is living in cloud cuckoo land the you tube incident would have caused injuries to leg, back, ribs and maybe neck, I have mentioned before maybe full body armour is the way forward
Was he the victim?
I would say it is he who crashed into the learner, who was skiing around the poles.

And this is the reason I'll be helmetted up for the first time in Livigno the week after next, not wanting to raise the helmet issue again but the reason for wearing it is not that I intend to ski beyond my ability in terms of speed or run difficulty (though will of course slightly challenge myself within reason for improvement purposes) but it's to avoid someone like that careering into me!
Same reason I'm loathe to ride a motorbike, would quite happily trust myself to ride safely but it's the other road users you can't account for!
Opinionated Jenno over and out.

I decided to have a life change and be more spontaneous. Starting tomorrow.

Ian,
That was totally horrifying
I'm planning on trying out slalom, and I really don't want anyone like that crashing into me while I'm concentrating on trying to make the turns. I wonder if they were both okay afterwards :?:

Jenno, not opinionated, but spot on. There are some nutters out there & for me its better to be safe than sorry.

The victim showed some restraint. you can see the ski pole was nearly used as a weapon.
This didn't look like someone who had momentarily lost control. Losing control for a bit has happened to everyone learning to ski, or board. This looked more like stupidity. some people don't get it, that other people are not slalom gates.
