Sorry Mark203 but Trencher is right. The guy in Green (looks like a kid to me given his height against the guy in red pre collide) shouldn't need to look at other slope users given he is on the slalom course which is clearly defined.
My experience in Canada of slalom courses, is like Trencher says, they are usually down the side of a piste and if the run isn't closed then there are signs clearly to be seen telling you there is a slalom course so beware.
My thinking is the kid should have used the pole on the guy in red. You can see he thinks about it then unfortunatley has second thoughts :twisted:

Too much analysis going on here. It was a collision, simple as that. No one can tell where or what this was, but the guy in red does appear to enter into this "area" and they simply collide.
Fortunately, it appears no one was badly hurt. Had that been me in the green, I might have used the pole though.
