My experience in Canada of slalom courses, is like Trencher says, they are usually down the side of a piste and if the run isn't closed then there are signs clearly to be seen telling you there is a slalom course so beware.
My thinking is the kid should have used the pole on the guy in red. You can see he thinks about it then unfortunatley has second thoughts :twisted:

Fortunately, it appears no one was badly hurt. Had that been me in the green, I might have used the pole though.
