Hi. You can cross to Switzerland - just pay attention to take the return lift on time. I also intend on going there later on March.

If you're a good skier you will ski Cervinia area in a couple of days. Be very careful not to get stranded on Swiss side it will be very expensive. The run from the top to Valtournanche a good leg burner
Also keep an eye on the wind state it's a high resort and we lost 2 1/2 days skiing last January due to complete resort closure due to high winds it's was soul destroying as we had blue bird skies but no skiing.
Not too many eateries or bars but prices were very reasonable especially compared to France we spent time at the Eden pub not very big but we liked it, Lovely lady behind bar from Turin
Enjoy

The Dragon is a veryb good Bar, just opposite the bottom chair lifts. The Igloo Restaurant on run 7 is superb. Keep an eye out for it on the right as it is easy to miss. Rocce Nero at Plain Maison is also a good central spot. All runs are pretty good but the run down to Valtourneche is my favourite.

The Ventina red is an alpine classic and a must ski.
