Hi,
Just doing some research on where to ski this winter. We (self & wife) just narrowed it down to Hintertux or Stubai areas.
We are reasonably fit intermediate skiers, not concerned with nightlife. Mainly looking for good extent of slopes and lot of good cruising. Have skied in Schladming & Ischgl previously and enjoyed them but now looking to ski in a different area of Austria.

Would welcome any advice or comments from members who have been to Hintertux or Stubai recently.
Particular villages we have identified are Finkenberg (Hintertux) and Neustift (Stubai).
Thanks

Finkenburg is a great choice as you're close to the tux glacier and right on the mayrhofen ski area. Loads to go at.
I haven't skied stubai but can say you'll enjoy ziiller valley

Neustift is a good base for the Stubaital, skiing at the glacier is easy and widespread, if the weather turns bad you've got lovely Innsbruck nearby. Schlick 2000 at the beginning of the valley is nice and within the Innsbruck area the choice is vast.

Thanks Guys
Tony --- we are not keen on drags/T Bars. Looks like there maybe a fair few on the Glacier area?

Never skied on a drag or t bar in my entire life at Hintertux. All gondolas and fast chairs

I think the t bars are for the summer months are where the glacier its moving. They can't put the heavier lifts on moving terrain. Was there in winter and never saw a t bar in operation
