Stubai

One of Europe's largest glacier skiing areas is open for snow sports from October to July, giving snow security for everyone based within a 50km radius. This includes residents of Innsbruck, who have an inclusive lift pass with ski bus. There's no resort as such, but several villages nearby.

The nearest airport to Stubai is Innsbruck Airport, 40 minutes drive away. Bolzano, Salzburg, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Munich, Memmingen, Verona and Friedrichshafen airports are all within three hours drive.

Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
