Traditional Tyrolean village with one of the bigger and higher ski areas in the Zillertal thus a good snow fall reputation, as well as a potentially giant vertical drop.


The Austrian ski resort of Kaltenbach is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 560m1,837ft, with 69km43 miles of marked runs.

Kaltenbach is part of the Hochzillertal-Hochfügen ski area with access to 379km235 miles of downhill skiing, with 49 marked pistes, served by a total of 46 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Kaltenbach itself (69km43 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Hochzillertal-Hochfügen ski resorts of Aschau im Zillertal, Fügen and Hochfügen. Kaltenbach is directly linked by Ski Lift to the ski areas of Aschau im Zillertal.

 By Air

The nearest airport to Kaltenbach is Innsbruck Airport, 42 minutes drive away.

Munich, Salzburg, Bolzano, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Friedrichshafen, Memmingen and Linz airports are all within three hours drive.

Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
