Kaltenbach is part of the larger Zillertal ski area, boasting over 150 kilometers of slopes. The resort is known for its excellent grooming and family-friendly atmosphere, catering to both skiers and snowboarders alike.

Kaltenbach is part of the Hochzillertal-Hochfügen ski area with access to 49 marked pistes, served by a total of 46 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Kaltenbach itself ( 69km 43 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Hochzillertal-Hochfügen ski resorts of Aschau im Zillertal, Fügen and Hochfügen. Kaltenbach is directly linked by Ski Lift to the ski areas of Aschau im Zillertal.

With ski lifts as high as 2,300m 7,546ft , snow cover is generally reliable.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Kaltenbach is Innsbruck Airport, 42 minutes drive away.

Munich, Salzburg, Bolzano, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Friedrichshafen, Memmingen and Linz airports are all within three hours drive.

Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Kaltenbach is easily accessible via the A12 motorway, with the nearest major city being Innsbruck, approximately 60 km away. Regular train services also connect to the Zillertalbahn, providing a convenient option for travelers.

When is Kaltenbach open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Late Nov.
