The largest (in terms of skier uplift per hour) of 22, largely lift-inter-connected, ski resorts which together make up Japan's largest ski area, Shiga Kohgen, and also one of the world's largest. A huge variety of terrain and the site for half-a dozen of the 1998 Olympic events.
