Werfenweng

Werfenweng is very easy to reach from Salzburg, only 45km (27 miles) away. There are odd ski lifts dotted all around the valley containing Werfen, Werfenweng and Pfarrwerfen. The largest single area is at Tennegebirge, above Werfenweng, which also has a ski kindergarten.

The ski areas have expanded and modernised in recent years with a gondola lift and terrain park.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Werfenweng is Salzburg, 43 minutes drive away.

Munich, Klagenfurt, Linz, Ljubljana, Innsbruck Airport, Graz and Trieste airports are all within three hours drive.

Salzburg is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
