My God we are all touchy and excitable about the snow this season aren't we????
Looks like its starting to fall at last anyway, but by January I'm sure it will be fine everywhere, apart from low lying Austrian meadows maybe.
Possible Snow in Tignes
Login
No Tony,
This is the run down from the glacier to the resort of Val Claret.
Tignes are having a bit of a problem at the moment with too much snow and too windy.
The cable car broke down on Saturday (7 hours to rescue occupants!), the visibility up high was atrocious, not sure what if any lifts were open above 3000m - so .....
First real Sunday of the season and this was about all there was available.
Today it looks like all they have open so far is the nursery slope - you want carnage! have a look at that one.
:-o

Hopefully there's enough around for everyone to have a decent holiday whenever they go.
Just pleased I haven't booked anything yet.

More snow overnight. About 10cm by the look of the webcams.

Well I left Friday to webcams showing cloud and the promise of snow. I have returned to work today and looked and by god I wish I was there right now. Plus to top it off I moved down south 4 months ago for work and its snowing back in my beloved Yorkshire now ? wish I was there.

The lifts still look to be down as the central area of Tignes is empty. I would still rather be there then sat at my desk right now.
