I spoke to skiworld, who won't sell me flight and transfers without accom...BUT ...they said speak 2 the rep at Chambery and IF there are spare seats they can sell us them :)

Also spoke to the airline, snowjet, who said there are 12 seats left on the plane which can be bought.

The flight is due to go ahead tomorrow and if there's any update it will appear on the websites at 6pm.

I think I'll wait till later, check weather forecasts for Chambery (and the airlines websites for updates), and if it looks ok book (and hope there's space on the coach!)

Currently on the way 2 london on the train. What a day this has been.
Seriously, best of luck. I hope you get there. If you do, you deserve a beer, and get online and intouch when you are there and we can have 1 together.
Safe trip

Good Luck to all those jetting off tommorrow. I have easyjet flights from LPL to Nice shouldn't be a problem except Easyjet seem to be cancelling flights here and there for no apparent reason.

Anyway best of luck to us all and have an ace and safe time when you eventually hit the slopes. Cheers :D

Sami,
I have never been to Alpe d'Huez, but I would rather think there's a scheduled bus service to it from Chambery airport. We have used the Altibus bus service to get to other resorts, and you have to book more than 7 days before to get confirmed seats and tickets, but you can also book at their office in the station/airport once you're there. Hopefully there is a similar system at Chambery airport, so that if you end up there and there's no space on the chartered coach you can go on the bus.

Best of luck :D.

I think if it was me, and I could afford it, I'd buy the extra plane tickets just in case. How much do they cost?

Thanks Tony.

Its not IF I'll get there, but WHEN  Would be nice to arrive at some point on Saturday though  I'll need to get you guys a beer for all the words of wisdom.

So, I've looked at a few weather forecasts for Chambery and its saying less than an inch of snow, so I hope they can cope with that?!?!?

Im gonna settle at my sisters when I reach London and pretty certain on booking the snowjet flights. The only thing is, if theres no space on the skiworld ADH coach, how to get there? I cant find anything straight forward on the net. Any ideas?

Thanks!

The extra flights are £99.99 per person  but compare that to potentially missing a days skiing and having to spend another night in London...I can afford it at a push, these holidays are never cheap eh?
