Stewart Dowling wrote:Ise, what makes you think the reports on the above websites are anymore correct than the one I have shown?

I only can go by what I read and if it is factually incorrect then it is not my concern.

You can see the website I got the information from as I included the link to it.

I assume by your comment about Meteo France that there site doesnt seem to be working so why bother putting it down.

I am just jotting information down as I am excited about going on holiday and could careless whose information is correct or not.

France meteo is the official weather site for France, like the met office in the UK. Like in the UK there's some extreme weather so I assume they're having some problems with excess load on the server. The resort website has information from the lift company. I know they're correct, I've no idea where the other site is getting the information from, it could well they're taking information using some automatically system that accidentally picked the lowest forecast or they had some glitch.

The resort website is producing much better information, that they're making distinctions between different parts of the area is a really great idea that other areas could well learn from.

I realize you're not in a position to be able judge the accuracy of the report which was why I was trying to help you.

The coach company we're using to get to Stansted suddenly decided yesterday that leaving an hour earlier tomorrow morning might be sensible. Little bit annoyed as we phoned them the day before to suggest a change and they said it wouldn't be necessary!
Spent last evening phoning round everyone to let them know.
Anyone know if Chambery is effected?

We've also got others who should have been flying into Grenoble (from Manchester and Gatwick), wonder where they'll end up. All charter flights so at least no re-arranging to be done.

I have a suggestion.....
Due to the unforseen force majure situation facing may of the excited skiers flying out tomorrow we should go to the pub and celebrate tomorrow evening...
All agreed? Good.

Andy hulls flight with snowjet which I preume is ZT2761 8.10am to chambery is looking good to go. There are seats available.

Sorry for all the questions but is this a chartered flight? I'm sure we can get to ADH from Chambery so perhaps this is a good bet? To be honest, if this is a sure bet id be happier with the security of knowing it should be ok, even if the ryanair flight ends up going without me and me loosing money. Getting a little desperate.

Thoughts?

I would not want to call it Sami. The weather may calm down, the airport may open, Ryanair may fly and take you elsewhere where you can get to ADH.....but its all maybes. If you make alternative plans and your flights ends up going, it costs you a lot of money. Alternatively, if you stick with your booking and its gets cancelled, there is the heartache to deal with.
Only you can decide, but with the way the weather is right now, nothing is certain unfortunately.
I am just glad we are on a charter package and not having made our own arrangements.

Yes that's our flight, yes it's a charter.

If you do end up on it, we're with SkiWorld. Be worth asking a rep if there are any places free on the coaches going to ADH. Might be a non starter, but might save you some money.

Thanks Andy.

I spoke to skiworld, who won't sell me flight and transfers without accom...BUT ...they said speak 2 the rep at Chambery and IF there are spare seats they can sell us them :)

Also spoke to the airline, snowjet, who said there are 12 seats left on the plane which can be bought.

The flight is due to go ahead tomorrow and if there's any update it will appear on the websites at 6pm.

I think I'll wait till later, check weather forecasts for Chambery (and the airlines websites for updates), and if it looks ok book (and hope there's space on the coach!)

Currently on the way 2 london on the train. What a day this has been.
