Glad you got out ok, a couple of places here (Saas Fee and the Lötschental) are cut off. Les Houches will probably be the only area open this weekend http://www.ski-leshouches.com/actualites.html The avalanche risk is very high at the moment http://france.meteofrance.com/france/montagne?MONTAGNE_PORTLET.path=montagnebulletinneige/DEPT74#mont-blanc so be very careful!

Les Houches had not opened by 10.30 this morning, apparently all the lifts were frozen. Gave up and skied Megeve off the Princesse. Superb powder day. Avalanche warning posted is Black, never seen that before. Plenty of powder under the lifts and in the trees.

Salski, Le Bettex was running today, as well as Mont D'Arbois. Cote 2000 area was closed. Black Avvy flag flying at top of Princesse.

Snow Cannons were still running down to mid section on Mon't D'Arbois...go figure

Another brilliant powder day with Tinderbox ski. Did some Transceiver searches, skied in the trees underneath the Grand Montets c/c (just a little) and then headed over to Brevent where the Magic carpet chair lift was running. Very deep snow, takes ages to get up after a fall off piste. Made a big hole though  :D

I'm reliably informed that there is a picture of ^^^^^
