I know this has been a long time coming Tony, never the less it's not too late for me to tell you to shut it!

I am not shrinking, in fact I have grown a bit since I've been living on a diet of Bread, cheese and beer! 8)

I have always been lucky enough to have really good snow on skiing holidays. In 2007 I went to Canada so didn't suffer that year either.

Global warming? Well the UK doesn't seem to be warmer!
Great report once again Tony! Looks like a fab time was had by all. The photos are pretty good too. I really must remember to take my camera out skiing...So far I only have about 5 pics taken back in the beginning of December!

How do you handle skiing on ICE?

They try to hide the ice with a dusting of man made snow but it really catches you out. I would prefer to be able to see it rather than stumble across it unexpectedly.
That man made stuff on ice is like sand on a sheet of glass, you can dust it off.

I find that most ice patches tend to be mid piste and are fine if you just traverse over them and turn at the edges where the snow tends to amass. But by a few days of it i just pointed my skis down hill and just ignored it, when you feel it begin to slide mid turn i just pushed my edges in harder.

Like previous posters have already said......Sharp Edges, thats the key......:-(

This is exactly what I do...I must say that my new skis have been brilliant on the ice, up until yesterday. Today ice skates would have been more appropriate!
