Is there such a thing as a cheap ski resort? :-o

I fell in love last year, at the ski show, with a pair of Volkl Kenjas. They served me well and have still got a lot of life in them and I'm sure I will go on using them for some time yet.
However, if, 'hypothetically', I was to get some new skis what would you recommend? 8) |

I'd recommend Alpe De Huez...Fits all your criteria. :D

I was in Morzine for the whole season last year, the weather was pants (the worst season for snow in decades apparently) but we had a brilliant time and still managed to ski right up until April.
We will be going back in December for another season and we are expecting better conditions...Surely it can only get better this year! You will have a fab' time. See you in the Tibetan bar! |

Soldeu would be my choice without a shadow of a doubt. Much nicer town than the concrete jungle that is Pas de la Casa. Access to main gondola is easier in Soldeu, and friends that have had lessons have been very happy. There are some great slopes in Soldeu that will give a beginner confidence.

Is it? I've been to Andorra 4 times and on each occasion had good snow. |
