Don't be nervous...be excited! My brother did the same thing four years ago and has not looked back. He is currently in Peru 'exploring' and is back in Whistler for the 20th Nov to start his fourth season instructing (snowboard). He travels so much i can't keep up with him. i only get to talk to him nowdays on the internet. I am so jealous!!!

Good luck and have fun fun fun. :D

Don't be shocked Tino...my husband says I 'ski' like Heidi!

Regarding the photos I said I would dig out...I was trying to be humorous and contribute to admin's fictional story.

Admin wrote:Dave Mac is in fact James Bond. He has for some reason not mentioned that his glider was being shot down behind enemy lines, and he made his escape in an Aston Martin with a Heidi lookalike at his side... or was that Tino?

I claim my five pounds.

 I am a little (or maybe a lot) embarassed about my totally random post last night...but I have learned a valuable lesson...which is NOT to post on threads when on alchohol. I couldn't resist getting in the mood and knocking back the Jaegermeisters (sp?) last night!

Did my dry slope stint tonight. Was nervous at first but soon got into the swing of it thanks to your advice Ian.

My columbia ski jacket is the best one I've ever had, I really like this brand. More to the point though, is that, if you are planning to spend £150 or more on flights at some point soon, you might as well get £150 worth of new gear (needed or not) and get the flight for free.

If only I wasn't a teacher :x:

I'm going to a dry ski slope today. I'am very confident on snow (been doing it since I was 11) but I'm quite nervous because I've not been on a dry slope since I was 10 - 35 years ago!

Is it really difficult compared to snow...will i be able to stop? :?

Hi All,

take a look at the following link. I can't take advantage being a teacher, but it might be worth a look if you are planning a trip that doesn't fall in the school holidays.

If I could take advantage I'd see it more as £150 worth of free Columbia ski wear!

Hi Dave,

yes you're right, i am planning a trip for W/B April 4th. Do you think there will be no Easy jet Flights then? i'm going from London.

I too got the idea of this place at the show. A friend has found flights for £129 but i don't know who with and where from (they live in Bristol). I'm going to check out snow train prices today. I'll keep you posted.
