Saint Jean D'Aulps is a small town about 10/15 min drive from Morzine. It has a limited ski area but links to the full Porte De Soleil area by a free shuttle bus. I think you can get a bus to Ardent for the lindarets ski area which links with Avoriaz and Switzerland and also a bus to Morzine for the Super Morzine gondola which links with above or the Pleney Gondola which links with Les Gets.
It is a traditional town and there are a few bars, restaurants and shops for you to enjoy. Morzine is a much bigger town with many shops bars restaurants and clubs. Just re read your post and see that you have a car, you will be using it most of the week I suspect to get to the best ski areas. I live within walking distance to the Super Morzine lift but tend to drive to Ardent as it has a big carpark and there are always spaces and it is good access to a large ski area. :D |
