We're on a tight budget this year but my kids are desperate to go skiing this season. We're going to go self-catering and drive, and we are thinking of going during the first week of our Easter school holiday, which is March 28th next year.
Any suggestions on where is good value in France? My two sons are 9 and 13, we are all intermediate skiers, happy to go wherever the snow is. |

We stayed in Les Arcs over New Year for 5 days in a very nice apartment with www.myfrenchchalet.com. Like you we couldn't stay the whole week, so I emailed a couple of operators and these people offered me a good deal.

We took the kids (boys 9 and 6) skiing for the first time last year and they loved it. We are keen to go back again this season, but we will be on a tight budget. Does anybody recommend a good budget resort in France with nice wide pistes for beginners - we want somewhere high because we will be going first week April, but we really want to be able to ski in/out. Any recommendations?
