Hey!
Has anybody been to Aussois??? If so, whats it like.... Good snow? Reliable? Have a week booked at the beginning of Feb!!!

It's not far from the Italian border, across the mountains from Bardonechia and Sauze.
Not skiied there myself but the ski areas in the Vanoise national parc are supposed to be very picturesque.
Doesn't look like the j2ski snow report is current, but there's over 50cm in the Aussois Snow Forecast for the next week. Unless something bizarre happens to the weather, you'll be right for February or March.

I'm thinking of booking a week's family skiing in Aussois for March, prices look good for this little resort. How was it for you?

Pretty handy for chambery i see. Anyone have any experience of the skiing? I.e how steep is it?

Just a couple of Blacks on the Aussois Piste Map but the run marked "balmes" looks like it'd be fun - and should give access to a big freeride area in that valley.
