I keep hearing more and more cases of ski theft! I'll be getting a lock for the next trip. A friend even had their coat stolen this year! They went out for a drink in the evening, left their coat on a coat rack, then someone just helped themselves to it!
No offence, but why would you expect them to speak English? Even in UK tourist resorts, the police (and most others) ONLY speak English, and no one expects anything else! You could have found (or paid) someone to translate for you. |

I went to Cervinia in February half term week a couple of years ago, and it was nice and quiet on all slopes!
Perhaps something to do with a lack of large hotels, so doesn't attract school groups! Tony H, would you give the same advice about going outside of half term to teachers??? |

I'd never heard of them either!

I'd go with the SOGA 1979 (sales of goods act), and as they're less than 6 months old, it's up to the manufacturer to prove that they were NOT faulty, rather than the other way round. It's only when they are over 6 months old that you have to prove the fault.
I smell a rat here... Personally, on principal, I'd sent a recorded delivery letter to Scott, along with a copy of the SOGA, highlighting the section about the product being under 6 months old, along with a print out showing evidence that others have also had this delamination issue, and ask them to replace or repair the skis free of charge, as per your legal entitlement! If you're happy to pay for a new pair, then fair enough, but I really hate companies that like ripping people off and snaking out of taking responsibility when they probably know it's their fault. I wouldn't pass them another penny of my money! |

My quicksilver jacket is ancient, and had some mud on it that dripped off a chair lift, and red wine spilt down it.
I just stuck it in a 30C wash with normal washing powder just before I went skiing, thinking if it ruined it, then I'd just have to buy myself a new one. :) Unfortunately it came out just fine, so will do for another season!! |

Any update on this?
Under UK law, if there was no inventory, no charge can be made as they can't prove the initial condition... Not sure if they follow the same in France though! Will try and find out. I hate being ripped off by people¬ |

Head hunter's usually contact you due to your reputation... Not sure there's many recruiters for the ski industry, so probably best to google companies and send your CV off.
