After a brilliant september, a least last week because we were off in Spain !! We start to see the summit getting some flakes.

Everybody check your onions !

I'll try to keep up the news on the weather in the Alps, I mean i'll look throught my window and let you know if something interesting is happening !

See you !
It snowed again yesterday at 2000m ! We'd better have a good winter, because we haven't really see the summer !!
This year we add a new chalet to our winter holidays list.

It's a 12 man catered chalet in the typical alpine village of Les Brevieres in Tignes.

6 en-suite bedrooms, fire place, panoramic view from the lounge, all facilities, lovely and available staff, haute cuisine and a selection of excellent french wine.

Short walking distance to the heart of the village and pubs.
Private bus to drive you to the lift (150 m).

For more info www.chaletarabette.com or pm us.

Special offer for j2skiers.

Hope speak you soon.
Hi Tlieng,

I would agree with les Arcs too and i would even advise Peisey-Vallandry, down on the resort of Les Arcs.

Lovely architecture of the village, very good beginner slopes and skipass just for the area available for the beginners. No need to pay the full Les Arcs area if not needed.

Good trip
Here in the french alps we didn't had a brilliant summer, lots of sushine but lots of snow down to 1600 also !!

It should prepared the ground properly for the winter, it keeps cool and apparently in Tignes it's the best summer since 15 years for the glacier.

Let's hope it's a good sign for the winter with a great cold coat.

Is anyone knows if this kind of summer means a great winter or is it to early to tell ?

Chat you soon !
Hi Jasmin,

150 euros in second hand possibly, but not sure they'll last more than 2 seasons ! If it's your first time skiing i really would advise to wait and see.

There is a lot of skis for any experience and any skill. If you really want to appreciate, wait to know how you feel and what you expect from skis.

The rental is good when you are a beginner and go away once a year, you'll always have new models and you can try different skis as you get better and have more technique.

Enjoy !
