Hi Rob,

Peisey-Vallandry is really easy access to Les Arcs, just one lift to take.
You also are at the foot of the Vanoise express linked to La PLagne, so plenty of skiing (425 kms of slopes !).

As for bars and restaurants, there is plenty of choice (Mont Blanc, Jimmy's, La Vache, Flying squirrel...) and for the restaurants, there is not one I wouldn't recommend, they are all nice food and nice people, different prices and meals.

I think you'll enjoy the resort, it's a good fun and the pistes are just great and it's snow sure aswell (snowed yesterday down to 1400m !).

Let us know how it was !

The snow we had was incredibly light, i haven't seen that in a long time.
It snowed down to 400m !
We had 100 cm at 2500m !!
It's still snowing lots and doesn't seems to stop all week.
Hubby and I didn't ski once this year, too busy, so I think the snow god being very kind with us to let us more time as the season will get a bit quieter !!

Thanks Snow God, we'll sure make the most of it !

Wish you all a great easter snow !!

We had lots of snow here in Les Arcs lately and today it's snowing like crazy ! The weather forecast talks about 5 cm an hour !
It should be the best April in a long time ! :P

Enjoy !

I think a taxi will be quite expensive, but you can take the train to bourg st maurice or even stop in Landry (1 stop before and closer to Peisey-vallandry) then take a cab from here.

The resort is lovely. Where are you staying ?
I live here all year and I love it. The resort is linked to les Arcs in couple of lift and the skiing is great and for any skills.
Unfortunately this year you won't be able to take the Vanoise express to la Plagne if not it's the best resort to access it.
You'll have an amazing view as you can see the all valey and the Mont Blanc too if the weather is clear.
Lovely bars and restaurant, french and english and prices are not too crazy.
We have very good snow conditions (well like everywhere ) and the ski in the forest is ideal for white days.

Enjoy and let us know what you thought of it !

Cheers
The conditions are already changing constantly every day and temp loose or gain 20 degrees in couple of days, so for feb....... :?: :!:
But conditions are really good and more snowfalls are predicted in the next couple of days, so you should be fine !
How long will it be?

I don't think they'll close for too much snow !! )
The safety people and all the pisters are working very hard in every resort to make it as safest as possible on the slopes.
However, off piste is still not recommend. But as you said the snow is fantastic so why risk going off piste ?

2 weeks ago a deadly off piste accident happened in Tignes and the snowboarder was very experimented and one of the loviest guy i've ever met, but the avalanche risk off pist was high.

As you're catch phrase says "life is for skiing, don't waste it" !.. and enjoy the good snow conditions !

I'm sure you'll have fun ! :D
