Not really, i have always got by in a pair of old trainers, however after a few bevs in andorra i did hit the deck walking down a hill. Not sure if apres ski boots would have kept me up though?

lol, i've been trying it since our rep in fernie showed me the trick couple of years ago! still no joy. Spent half my time trying it in Andorra last week but it's that 2nd 180 again. I was actually contemplating posting the same thread.
Please help us!! |

I just got back from arinsal (val nord) and I don't think it was any more expensive to buy out there just a little more convenient not to. It was also a bit cheaper to hire ski equipment in resort. ski's boots and poles 17 euros a day. Although it was a good 4 yrs ago when I was in the grand valira, I seem to remember my dad complaining that neilson had charged us a bit more for the passes than they actually cost? You should be ok to buy them out there.

£530 is a steal!! that's well cheap!! it shows how much money holiday companies are making! Were lessons and ski hire etc included in the £1700 price?

Moi aussi, common as muck in das spyders!! at the end of the day though, i couldn't give a turd as long as i'm not cold, a good base layer and pair of gloves are more important to me than an expensive jacke/trousers. I did well in -10 fernie 2 years back with just tresspass bottoms and tresspass jacket which totalled 45-50 quid (from the maxx).
Technology these days is that good it's difficult to be too cold. Word! |

Andorra is a pretty cheap place, tax and duty free, and very enjoyable.
i've been once as a novice skiier and absolutely loved it. Going back tomorrow, they aint had a great deal of snow yet this year though? check out the neilson website, they have some good bargains, www.neilson.co.uk think you may be strugglin for cheap in school hols. We have booked flights to geneva and back early march for 54 quid each. (bmi baby) we have not yet sorted accom/ skis or lift pass but it is generally cheaper to to this in a resort rather than through a travel company. Wing it, you'll sort summits out! |
