Yo check www.andorramania.com you can click on the webcams for the relevant resort and see what the snow is like. You need to click on the union jack (top right) first to get it in english.

See also grandvalira.com

When you going? I'm there early jan in Pal which seems to have had a bit of snow recently but the forecast unfortunately says there aint much coming up in the next week.

bandit you must have ski'd everywhere to be such a fountain of knowlege!! is the resort to the bottom right of this map (domaine de balme) quite over the swiss border? Or, if we skid down the hill past it would we hit a road in switz? All we need is to do a run in each country. If we can get up the hills on the french pass that'd be awesome then if we can ski down the valley into switzerland and get a bus straight back into cham, mission complete!!

I think this could "snowball" in to a really big event, we just need some likeminded idiots to join in the challenge!!

Rock and Roll - From italy to switzerland!!

Hello everybody!! My friend and myself have been joking about conquering 3 countries (France, Italy and Switzerland) in 1 day of skiing. Since the instigation of this idea there has been a great deal of competative banter between us and now we are quite serious about accomplishing this mission. we have decided to call the competition "King of the Mountain."

So what i would like to know is how viable is it to ski from chamonix across the swiss and italian borders and back to cham in 1 day?

If anybody else is in cham between the 3-10th march why not join us in this venture!!
zotar!! what are your offerings if any for the 3rd-10th march for 4 people (2 couples)
Thanks admin, we're snow-ploughing through the list now!!

Great Help!!
Energy bars/snacks

hello all, i'm with skisuit and tony h, it's true what they say:

a mars a day helps you work rest and play!!

So imagine how much fun you have when you consume a multipack of mars bars....?

Also, a little hint my mate (sub 11s 100m sprinter with a sports science degree) gave me for avoiding rip off energy drinks: Make an orange cordial and add a tea spoon of sugar for energy and a tea spoon of salt to control it's release.

On that note, Runners world once had an article analysing the stimulation and energy factors of red bull. The outcome was that a cup of coffee w/2 sugars is 10 times cheaper but has the same level of stimulation and energy as the red bull.

To summarise, a good days skiing can be comfortably achieved by drinking a cup of coffee with 5 sugars and a mars in the morning, a mars between breakfast and lunch, a mars and a coffe for lunch, a mars between lunch and evening meal, a multipack of mars bars for evening meal (as part of a nutritious diet)and then a few beers (plenty of carbs in lager!!)

So why do I not take part in athletics anymore???
hi i think i've sent a message to your inbox but not too sure about how the pm works? I've never seen my inbox on here? lol

Cheers, Paul
