Last night. I have a thing about sheep, must be all that time I spent in Wales. I've also just eaten a mince pie. |

Snow reports - why are they different and is this enough?

I think it depends where the information comes from. When I worked for a TO we used to have to do a local snow report and got it from the tourist office, or failing that, we took a ruler outside.
No idea why they would be so different though, suppose it could be down to when they were updated. In answer to your last question, I would say as long as the resort is open then the skiing will be fine, although the local report sounds more promising. |

Wickers is definately the expert on Livignio. I spent 2 weeks there in 2008 for my honeymoon, I like the resort although found it slightly frustrating that the 2 main ski areas were separated by the valley, its easy enough to get on the bus and ferry yourself from one side to the other, but I personally like everything to be quick and easy when I go skiing, but that's just me.
Also found it to be incredibly windy for the whole 2 weeks, although I think we were just unlucky. We are planning on going back for our 4th wedding anniversary (officially out first though as we got married on 29th Feb) and I wouldn't go back to a resort I didn't enjoy. Never heard or saw much rowdiness, although we were staying at the Montanina which has its own bar in the basement and that occasionally got a bit noisy at kicking out time but that was it. Plus they have a slide down into their bar if you don't fancy using the stairs. |
