I've ruptured my ACL graft so I'm not going anywhere. Waiting for further surgery, who knows how long that will be! :(

I'm not sure of the brand without looking, but i know it had supports down each side of my knee. Donjoy are a well known recommended brand for good support though so maybe start there :)

Hiya, how funny my surgery crossed my mind earlier this evening, must be my mind reading skills. If your surgeon has said you can do a few hours I'd give it a go at least, my surgery was May and I took a year off but you sound fit and able enough to try. I still wear a brace now, so definitely invest in one (my surgeon said I must always wear it skiing), it's extra stability.

Let me know how you get on :)
La Plagne vs Paradiski

I'm in Les Arcs this week and when we got our passes we were told we had one day free in La Plagne, sure it works the other way too. It takes forever to get from LA to LP but perhaps less so the other way. I personally wouldn't buy a full area pass unless you want to do both resorts on a daily basis.
Tignes vs La Plagne this year

I have a friend in Tignes this week, she said there's plenty of snow at Le Lac and above that, there's also snow forecast for Monday & Tuesday so hang in there!

I've skied both a number of times and personally prefer La Plagne. However I would say that the pistes are on a par with each other, both resorts have a glacier and they aren't particularly far from each other as the crow flies. We are going to Les Arcs on 7 Jan having changed it from the first week of Feb in Val Disere (for personal reasons) and I wouldn't have thought about the snow being any better due to geographical location.

I'm praying for a snowfall in the next week, as you know the weather can change in an instant and yes the resorts can differ as well but I think the snow is pretty much the same.

If you do want a change then go for it, Tignes is sightly uglier than La Plagne :)
Getting worried now.....
