There already is one. I've got it on my Bolle goggles. They have a Modulator lens that changes from Cat 1 to Cat 2 much like Transitions spectacle lenses.

is it as good as having an iridium lens and then a persimmon one?!

I have goggles with Pink Iridium lenses which are purely for flat light. Black iridium at other times.

I used them for first time last season and I'm really fussy over the effect of lenses with bright sunshine. I easily get headaches from even the slightest of light skies, for example sunlight on wet roads.

I skied all week using the goggles in flat light through to clear blue sunny skies and have no complaints. First few days I carried my sunnies with me just in case but even on the brightest day I was fine.

Maybe a radar to tell you when some high speed skiier or snowboarder is coming at you, or Thermal settings on the goggles, though im not sure if they work in cold conditions

3D built in interactive piste map?
Or why not attach a satellite dish to your helmet and pick up sky sports news while you are skiing as well?
Or how about a ski bunny indicator, that identifies fit chicks with sticks for you to olge over?
Or a cafe alert, that informs you of the nearest available quality hot chocolate?
Or your own built in pistey basher, that unfolds and smashes those annoying little afternoon mongols (copyright Ally G)?
Maybe even goggles that are edible in case you get hungry and cant wait to get to the self service restaurant?
Or some rotor blades that pop out and can whisk you off to your own off piste mecca somewhere?

Or am I just being a facetious t**t again?

I would like a function that tells me where the piste is, when it's foggy, something like an RDF. Shouldn't be too difficult I wouldn't think, if they put the necessary bits on the piste markers.

Also, I very much like Tony's idea of having my own personal piste basher to flatten the moguls (I think Littleski actually has the copyright on the 'mongols'). I would like to bash a lot of moguls right now  They have a lot to answer for. My toe still hurts

It would also be quite nice to know if someone was coming up from behind me, as TheoBane says, but maybe it could be sonar, like the reversing sensors on my car.

Most importantly, as everyone else says, I would like to actually be able to SEE when the light is flat. I went crash over on my back (again) because I couldn't see a large hump in the ground, even though I was wearing my goggles. Of course, I may be wearing the wrong sort of goggles. All this talk of different lenses is very confusing.
